Can I get my money back?+
If the sale does not hit its target, yes. You take all of it yourself rather than waiting for anyone to send it. After a sale succeeds, no. If we cut off a team and shut the company down, whoever is holding tokens at that moment can hand them in for a share of the money left over. That is a share of what is left, not what you paid, and it can be a lot less.
How do I know I have got the real token?+
There is no CapitalDAO token yet. No token, no sale, no early allocation, no list. So if you find a CapitalDAO token anywhere today, it is not ours. When a real one exists, its address will be published on this site, and we would only ever announce it from here and the accounts at the bottom of this page. The address is the only thing that makes it real.
Who is in control?+
Right now, a shared account our team controls. It can start a sale, cut off a team's allowance, and start shutting down a dead company. It cannot make tokens, touch a trading pool, or move a company's money to itself. The code does not have those buttons. We will publish the address before any sale opens. Handing that control over to the people holding tokens is the plan, and we would rather tell you exactly how it works today than call it decentralised.
Will the code be checked before I can put money in?+
Yes. We will pay an outside security team to try to break it before any sale opens, and we will publish everything they find, including anything we have not fixed. Not a badge. The whole report. That has not happened yet, because there is no code running for anyone to check yet.
How is this different from MetaDAO?+
Where it runs, and how much we are building. Ours is built for Robinhood Chain, using USDG and Uniswap. We are doing the funding part and not much else, and we will tell you which parts are missing. The core numbers are theirs: 10 million tokens sold, 2.9 million set aside for trading, nothing for the team on day one, and a monthly allowance. They published those numbers and have run dozens of sales on them. We used what works instead of inventing something worse.
What if you disappear?+
Closing a sale, getting your money back, collecting your tokens, and opening the final payout are all built so that anyone can do them, not only us. Cutting off a team is not. If we vanish, a team keeps taking their monthly allowance until the money runs out. That is a real weakness in how this works today, and it is exactly why we want to hand that control over.
Does signing up get me anything?+
No. It is a mailing list for updates and practice runs. It is not an investment, not a spot in a sale, and not a guarantee of anything. It is free and it commits you to nothing.
