CapitalDAO is an independent software project. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell, or a request to buy, any security, token, or financial instrument, and nothing here is investment, legal, tax, or financial advice. We do not hold your money, execute trades, or give advice. Money committed to a raise is held by smart contracts, not by us.

Companies that raise through CapitalDAO are independent third parties. We choose which companies appear, and that choice is not an endorsement, a recommendation, or any assurance about a company, its team, its conduct, or what its token is worth. We do not verify the claims a company makes about itself.

The rules on this site set what a founding team can and cannot do with the money raised. They do not set what a token is worth. A token's price moves with what people will pay for it, and it can fall below what backers paid at the raise. Smart contracts can contain errors, and the CapitalDAO contracts have not been reviewed by an outside firm.

We can stop a team's monthly allowance and begin shutting a company down if we judge that it has stopped building. That is our judgement and we can be wrong. If a wind-down runs, holders recorded at that moment can hand in their tokens for a share of the money left in the company's account. That is a share of what remains, not a return of what you paid.

Availability may be restricted depending on where you live, and access may be blocked where taking part would not be lawful. You are responsible for the laws that apply to you.

We publish the only official CapitalDAO token contract address on this domain. Any other token, raise, or contract using the CapitalDAO name is not ours. We publish addresses only here and through the accounts listed in the footer.

Changes to these terms are published here, dated, before they take effect.
